Description | The Bowmanville GO extension project will provide daily, two-way GO train service to Bowmanville, adding almost 19 new track kilometres and increasing track length and station count by 40%. The project includes new tracks dedicated to passenger service, new bridges, and modifications or replacements of existing bridges. Work on the Green Road railway bridge is scheduled to begin in May 2026, with construction expected to last two years. Other bridge works include the Simcoe Street bridge (underway since January 2026), and planned works on Wilson Road, Albert Street, and Courtice Road bridge (scheduled for spring 2027). |
