Construction on the $5.2 million Bowtie Business Park at 3825 Walden Ave. in Lancaster is underway. The project includes two new warehouses and renovation of two existing warehouses. The project entails the construction of two new warehouse buildings, each 10,000 square feet, plus the renovation of two existing warehouses — one 42,000 square feet, the other 12,000. New York Kitchen and Bath will occupy the larger existing warehouse, while architecture and engineering firm Labella Associates will occupy one of the new buildings. The other two buildings will be built on spec. The developers say the project will create more than 20 new full-time equivalent jobs on the site. The IDA approved a package that gives the project $175,000 in sales tax breaks, a $22,500 mortgage tax exemption and a seven-year payment-in-lieu-of-taxes agreement. Construction started soon after the deal was approved.
