"“Boxing for Change (B4C) - With boxing you learn"" is a 24 months transnational cooperation initiative involving as partners 2 Boxing National Federations (Italy and Romania) and a civil society associations Scholas Occurrentes (Spain) and two outside resources (Sport Senza Frontiere NGO and Artmediasports as communication, Advisory & Advocacy consultant). The project aims to develop and implement an innovative educational method that enhance boxing as a tool to promote social inclusion and prevent violence, in line with the 2021-2024 EU Work Plan for sport priorities and especially the major 2022 focus. The project will involve as direct target groups, in Spain, Italy and Romania, 1750 13-16 years old from socio-economically disadvantaged schools (35 Schools) and 250 13-16 years old currently detained in juvenile prisons (5 prisons). In addition, it will train 80 Federal Technicians and 40 schoolteachers to learn new methods of applying boxing to education, enhancing the social, relational, ethical, and preventive dimensions (deviance and violence). The project will consist of 7 macro-activities (WP): Management and coordination; Preparation; Training course for coaches and schoolteachers; Training course for teens articulated first in the practical part and then in the theory (according to the “learning by doing” approach); Inspirational workshops and meetings with the Boxing Champions; the Joy Summer Camp, as the final culmination of the experience; Communication, Impact and Dissemination activities. The project proposes an innovative multi-sectorial approach combining different areas (Health and Sport, Ethics, Physicology, Pedagogy, Grassroots Sport Support) covered by the 5 selected organizations. Each of them will bring its own contribution and experience to create a transnational, innovative and highly engaging methodology, in a cooperation program with a relevant European dimension and that will be a model easily replicable to other countries."
