BPCL Bina Polyethylene Project

Larsen & Toubro's Hydrocarbon Onshore business secured a major EPCC order from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) for a polyethylene project at Bina in Madhya Pradesh. The project involves setting up a Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) and High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) swing unit comprising two trains of 575 kilo tonnes per annum each. It will be executed on a lump-sum turnkey basis and is expected to be India's largest LLDPE/HDPE swing unit, marking a new benchmark in domestic polyethylene production capacity. The project is part of BPCL's Bina Petrochemicals and Refinery Expansion Project, which aims to establish a large petrochemical complex and expand the refinery's capacity from 7.8 MMTPA to around 11 MMTPA.
