This project involves the upgrade and modernization of BR-101, BR-290, BR-386, BR-448 highways in Brazil. The sponsor for this initiative is Concessionaria Das Rodovias Integradas Do Sul also known as CCR ViaSul, part of the CCR Group. The total length of the operated highway sections is 473.4km. The total amount of the investment is $290m (R$1.45bn), of which $180m (R$900m) were secured with a debenture issuance coordinated by BNDES, and $110m (R$550m) were provided by BNDES Finem fund. With the support of BNDES Finem, there is a backstop credit of R$250 million, a form of financing that is optional and serves to alleviate the funding risk of the project. Simultaneously, it acts as an incentive for the client to explore alternatives in the marketplace.
