The BR-381/262/MG/ES concession project was qualified at the 9th Meeting of the PPI Council through Resolution No. 52, of 05/08/2019, confirmed by Decree No. 9,972, of 08/14/2019. After carrying out the studies, the Federal Government decided to grant only the stretch of BR-381/MG. The project consists of a Concession proposal for the exploration of infrastructure and the provision of public services for the recovery, operation, maintenance, monitoring, conservation, implementation of improvements and maintenance of the level of service on the BR-381/MG Highway, in the stretch between Belo Horizonte/MG and Governador Valadares/MG. The stretch in question, with a length of 304 km, crosses Vale do Aço, an important steel hub in Minas Gerais, and is an important route for the flow of finished products, especially in the steel and automobile sectors.
