The objective of the Brazil Para Integrated Rural Development Project (phase one of the Para Rural program) is to build conditions in which the rural poor of Para can increase their incomes in a sustainable and secure environment. The project components are: component A - productive investments, which will provide matching grants for small and medium-scale investments to eligible producer associations located in areas zoned for consolidation; component B - territorial development, with environmental management and land administration subcomponents; component C - policy development, which will support development of a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) for the State, focusing on key sectors identified as important to the State's development such as tourism, mining and forestry; and component D - project management, with coordination, communication, and monitoring and learning subcomponents.
