Brait IV, L.P. (Brait IV or the Fund) is a private equity fund formed by Brait SA (Brait) and managed by Brait Capital Partners Limited (the Manager) with a target size of approximately $525 million which will make privately negotiated equity and equity-related investments primarily in entities (whether private or publicly traded) having primary business activities principally in South Africa. The Fund’s primary objective is to achieve superior long-term capital appreciation through control investments (majority or significant minority) in a portfolio of commercial and industrial companies. Target industries will include, but not be limited to, consumer products and services, healthcare, manufacturing, media and communications, and resources. It is expected that Brait will continue to seek out Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) related opportunities which meet the investment and return criteria of Brait IV.
