Description | Project „Brave Schools“ in its development, implementation, and evaluation includes 3 key stakeholders when talking about the protection of mental health among children: school – parents – children. In the project implementation, besides the coordinator, 14 elementary schools are included as partners from 13 counties of Croatia. There are two specific objectives of the project: 1) to develop a comprehensive prevention program for mental health difficulties in elementary schools; and 2) to ensure the sustainability of the program through the active involvement of key stakeholders: children – parents – and schools. The proposed program includes the development of a comprehensive and sustainable prevention program that consists of 3 key elements: 1) prevention workshops throughout the entire elementary education (2 workshops per grade from 1st to 8th, altogether 589 workshops) for a minimum of 5 073pupils; 2) Plan of Cooperation with Parents (14) developed by each partner school, at least 80 activities of parents – schools – children implemented; 3) Children Protection Policies (14, partner elementary schools) developed and aligned with International Child Safeguarding Standards. |
