The current project aims to disrupt high-risk cocaine trafficking networks operating through European ports. It aims to do so through developing a better intelligence picture and facilitating public-private and cross-border cooperation that allows for identifying ‘brokers’, high-value intermediaries that connect various parts of organised crime networks. The project aims to achieve these general objectives by in first instance (SO1) developing a shared intelligence framework on cocaine trafficking, through the use of crime script analysis, aligning data sources and interpretations within and across public-private organisations and countries participating in the consortium. Secondly, it places law enforcement firmly on the path of rapid technological innovation, by (SO2) using privacy enhancing technologies to propose an analytics platform that allows for sharing data whilst respecting data protection obligations. These objectives will allow for (SO3) analysing cocaine trafficking networks to identify and target brokers, ultimately contributing to disrupting organised crime networks operating through European ports, and sharing developed analyses and tools with other LEAs. .
