BRENDA THE TROLL is in its core, and literary in its storyline and themes about online harassment, gender roles, identity and cancel culture, highly relevant societal dilemmas in the world today. The series touch on highly sensitive topics in a smart and entertaining way. The series will have impact and find local broadcasters and streamers in territories worldwide. The primary target group is young adults, the series tackles themes very relevant within younger age-groups. Thomas Seeberg Torjussen is one of Norway's most recognized screenwriters and directors. We have long wanted to collaborate with him. And we found each other with BRENDA THE TROLL. The series will be produced by Maipo Film (NO) and Artbox (LT) as co-producing partners. The script features a Lithuanian character from the very beginning, the character has been rewritten based on feedback from our Lithuanian co- producers. This has ensured the quality of the project. Both parties are involved in the financing of the project. The consortium of coproducing parties has produced several productions together and have a very dynamic and efficient way of producing together. A split is delegated of cast, creative and technical heads of departments, Norwegian and Lithuanian, during the production. The story is universal and relevant as ever and gathers the whole team both in front and behind the camera in a shared vision for BRENDA THE TROLL. The close collaboration has helped forming the project into a highly European relevant work.
