Description | The Brent Spence Companion Bridge project is a major infrastructure overhaul aimed at easing daily traffic backups on southbound Interstate 75 approaching the Brent Spence Bridge. The project includes constructing a new companion bridge and rerouting local traffic onto the existing Brent Spence Bridge to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow through one of the nation’s busiest freight corridors. The design separates local and through traffic, adds an additional lane for I-75 traffic, and addresses bottlenecks on both the Ohio and Kentucky sides of the corridor. |
