Description | In 2002, Instituto Nacional de Vias (INVIAS - Colombia's national road and highway agency) awarded to Consorcio Solarte Ingenieros Constructores the concession for the Briceno-Tunja-Sogamoso toll-road. Consorcio Solarte Solarte reached financial closure in August 2003. Although the concession was estimated to last 30 years, the contract is terminated when the concessionaire reached the expected revenue of US$830 million (1,800,000 million of 2000 COL$). The estimated project cost was US$110.4 million. In July and September 2005, the government signed with the concessionaire two modifications to the contract, redefining the extent of the project. |
