Description | The Bridger Pipeline Expansion is a major new oil pipeline project from Alberta, Canada, into the United States. It is a joint venture between Calgary-based South Bow and U.S.-based Bridger, designed to carry up to 550,000 barrels of oil per day through Montana and Wyoming, linking with another pipeline. The 1,050-kilometre pipeline is expected to move two-thirds as much oil as the Keystone XL pipeline and will transport various grades of crude, including from Canada's oil sands region. The project requires additional state and federal environmental approvals before construction, which is expected to start in fall 2027 and finish by late 2028 or early 2029. |
