Description | "Project STARRISE is represented by a consortium of several less developed EU and outermost regions, accompanied by one more develop region aiming to promote interregional innovation collaboration and the development of innovative value chain investment portfolios in Shared Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) Areas, specifically in logistics and food sectors. To achieve this, STARRISE will build and strengthen an interregional ecosystem of SMEs and stakeholders through networking, ecosystem workshops, on-site and virtual trainings, and facilitation activities. The consortium will also support the identification of innovation investment projects through targeted measures, SME masterclasses, workshops, hackathons and individual support. Additionally, STARRISE will map and benchmark innovation management capabilities and promote networking and staff exchange schemes. The project aims to contribute to the priorities of the call (Green and Digital Transition, Smart Manufacturing incl. Deep Tech Innovation) by specializing around the theme of “Green Transition” through ""Digitalization in Value Chains"" and focusing on the logistics and food sectors, which have significant potential for cross-sectoral learnings and competence development. The project proposes a novel approach where ""Digital Transition"" and ""Smart Manufacturing"" act as contributors to “Green Transition”. STARRISE has established ambitious yet attainable objectives to launch a novel EU S3 platform dedicated to Logistics, while also participating in no fewer than six interregional partnerships across Logistics and Food S3 platforms. Over 150 individuals will be trained to enhance their competencies, ultimately leading to more than 60 applications for investment projects. At least 30 of these projects will receive non-financial support.
