Description

The BIG-U project addresses the multiple crises currently affecting the higher education sector in Ukraine, by strengthening the international dimension of less experienced and small-scale Ukrainian universities that are newcomer organisations in the Erasmus programme and are located in remote regions To achieve this goal, the project focuses on enhancing the management and administrative capacity of targeted HEIs by strengthening their international relations offices and developing internationalisation strategies The main project results will be achieved through: 1) a capacity-building intensive training program for the staff of international relations offices at Ukrainian universities 2) the development of a new internationalisation toolkit for HEIs newcomers to EU funded programs 3) the development of internationalisation strategies for the three Ukrainian universities involved in the partnership with focus on (priorities) 4) multiplication BIG-U results to other newcomer UA HEIs from remote areas and less experienced with the programme 5) the establishment, transformation and development of the network of Ukrainian universities with limited exposure to the Erasmus programme 6) advanced trainings program in Project Cycle Management 7) design of qualification requirements in Project Cycle Management for international relations offices at Ukrainian universities This network will gather less experienced and small-scale actors to the CBHE action and provide them with support to overcome the barriers they face in becoming more international.
