The project involves the privatization of Brigadier López plant, a gas-fired power plant located in Santa Fe, from Integración Energética Argentina S.A (IEASA), a company owned by the Argentinian government. Central Puerto SA will acquire the plant effective of 1 April 2019. The plant operates with a 280 MW gas turbine in an open cycle configuration. It is expected to expand its capacity with further 140 MW by adding a steam turbine in a combined cycle configuration. The produced energy will be purchased by CAMMESA under PPA agreements. Transaction cost is $ 165 million, of which $ 155 million will be paid in cash, and $ 10 million will be settled with the transfer of trade receivables.
