Description | The Brigalow Peaking Power Plant is a proposed 400MW gas power station located next to CS Energy’s existing Kogan Creek Power Station in Queensland. The plant will provide firming capacity for peak electricity demand periods, complementing variable renewable energy. APA Group and CS Energy have signed a joint development agreement for the project, with APA leading delivery and acquiring an 80% ownership interest, while CS Energy will operate and maintain the plant and retain a 20% ownership interest. GE Vernova has been appointed to deliver the gas turbines. The project is expected to be operational in 2028. |
