Brightly – Reducing Food Loss and Waste

operational

The Brightly project is a grouped initiative across the United States that rescues surplus food from farms, retailers, and distributors to reduce food loss and waste, mitigate methane emissions, and support food-insecure communities. It operates under Verra's VM0046 methodology and aims to generate verified emission reductions through carbon credit sales that fund food rescue organizations to scale their operations.
