Bright’s Grove Water Treatment Plant Intake Replacement

The project will upgrade the Bright’s Grove Water Treatment Plant in Petrolia, Ontario. The work will involve constructing a new water intake pipeline from the water treatment plant into Lake Huron, installing a passive intake screen, protective crib, and frazil ice and zebra mussel control system, constructing a new intake well and low lift pumping station, and re-purposing the existing plant for construction of a pre-filtration system to protect the existing membrane system. The project will fund improvements to water treatment facilities, which will increase access to potable water by increasing the reliability and efficiency of the water treatment infrastructure.
