Description

Description

The Rabaul Travel Lodge is located in Rabaul town near the famous volcano like Tavurvur and has a good history where Queen Elizabeth was one of the guests in the 1970s. The lodge survived the twin volcano eruption in 1994 that destroyed Rabaul. The ENB Tourist Service Limited has tried reviving the business as it was considered one of the South Pacific jewels. The Rabaul Travel Lodge is a tropical Island paradise with spectacular volcanic ranges, sandy palm line beaches, and deep turquoise lagoons. It is situated on the Rabaul waterfront with views of magnificent Simpson Harbor. The famous and historic Mount Tavurvur which is part of the sub-vent of the Rabaul caldera is a beautiful fixture to view with blue clear seawater. The management is planning to partner with and review this lodge to its glorious days. The lodge is there and has 40 rooms but requires upgrade /maintenance and thus, seeking partnership to revive the lost pride. The project proponents are looking for PPP arrangements with a partner given that the lodge itself is under the East New Britain Provincial Governments business arm or subsidiary named ENB Tourists Services Limited. Project proponents are seeking partnerships to establish additional products in the tourism and hospitality industry by purchasing new equipment and machinery to ensure build the standard of the lodge. Another collaboration is to have access to markets or attract tourists/clients, technical know-how for the staff according to international standards, and access to additional production materials to extend the lodge and have additional rooms, swimming pools, restaurants, bars, etc. Through joint research and developments on the project itself. The company has a growth plan with the following objectives: - Change business model from long-term tenants to regular hotel occupancy. - Investing to improve 28 rooms. - Consistentl achieve 65% occupancy increasing sharemarket. - Revenue is projected to grow significantly
