Project “Bringing together in diversity as the key to the EU better future – Farná 2025“” represent cooperation among twinning towns and other entities to continue in cooperation based on dealing the topics of common Europe. The main goal of the project is to create place for exchanges between citizens from different EU countries, to give citizens practical experience of the wealth and diversity of the common heritage of the Union and to make them aware that these constitute the foundation for a common future. The project activities have been designed to promote mutual understanding and friendship, highlight the importance of solidarity, encourage dialogue on the future of the EU, strengthen European identity, counter Euroscepticism, support actions within and beyond the EU. We will support an active participation, civic engagement and volunteering by the activities aimed to pointing out on possibilities of effective managing of local public policy tools (including the European tools: e.g. the Conference on the Future of Europe, European Citizens Initiative, The Citizens Dialogue, the European Parliament elections, European Corps of Solidarity) for rising quality of life. Activities (workshops, presentations, discussions) have been prepared to inspire participants to become more actively engaged in European politics or participating in EU-related initiatives as well as to foster a sense of belonging and positive perceptions of the EU. All activities will be carried out on the basis of volunteering as a one of ways of presentation the active form of volunteering at local level and community development. We took account of equal opportunities principle’s application, representation of all ages, the disadvantaged and the elderly. Project will be attended by visitors from Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia. Together with locals, 1192 European citizens will be directly involved in project. Project will indirectly affect up to 30,000 people.
