Description | Queensland contractor BMD has secured the next stage of early works for Brisbane’s $3.8-billion Olympic stadium, with engineering consultancy GHD joining as design partner. The stage will prepare the Victoria Park site for construction of the venue ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The early works package includes bulk earthworks, retaining walls, stormwater drainage, haul roads, erosion and sediment controls, semi-permanent fencing and a logistics plaza. GHD will provide multidisciplinary design and technical advisory services for the package, supporting site preparation before construction of the 63,000-seat Brisbane Stadium begins. |
