The first stage is state government-backed, starting construction next year, and aims to produce up to 20 million litres of biodiesel annually by 2028. The project is Australia's first second-generation low-carbon renewable liquid fuels plant, using up to 20,000 tonnes of farm-sourced feedstock a year, with potential expansion to produce 750 million litres of biodiesel and sustainable aviation fuel by the early 2030s.
