Britomart Acoustic Panels Renewal

The Britomart station acoustic panels fixed to the underside of Britomart train station roof are reaching the end of their design life, no longer providing the expected acoustic performance. Some are also falling onto the ceiling mesh​ as the fixing mechanism is failing. An ECI contractor was appointed to produce a methodology for remediation and undertake a trial. Outputs from the trial have informed the cost of the physical works and the access requirements when working over the platform. The current methodology requires works over the Christmas 23 & 24 shut down periods. The procurement of the physical works contractor for Christmas 23 is now complete however access is pending approval of a TAR from Kiwi Rail. Coordination with various station stakeholders is ongoing. The Local Board for this project is Waitemata.
