Brockville Transit Bus Replacements

• The project consists of the replacement of 5 gas buses for Brockville Transit, from 2021 to 2027. The buses to be purchased are commercial minibuses equipped with an accessible lift as Brockville Transit uses the same style of bus for both conventional and para transit due to lower ridership and high percentage of users requiring barrier free access. • The project includes the purchase of 5 diesel buses and all buses in the replacement fleet will have automated stop announcement systems, fare counting aids and improved rider metric collection devices, allowing for better safety, accessibility and route planning. • The project will improve the capacity of the public transit system, improve the quality and safety of the existing and future transit system as well as improve access to the public transit system in the City of Brockville.
