Description

Bronzeoak Philippines developed the 8.3MW San Carlos Biomass plant, San Carlos, Negros Occidental. The project company was San Carlos Bioenergy Inc. Firms reported as involved via partnerships were: Zabaleta & Co, FE clean Energy Group Inc's fund, Global Asia Clean Energy, M.A Jimenez Enterprise (Majent), but equity shares were unavailable and therefore not reported here. The project was commissioned in February 2009. The project held a 10 year cane supply contract, as well as a 10 year ethanol supply contract. The project was financed using domestic debt, via the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) which led a syndicate of 5 local banks. The equity was a combination of foreign and domestic investors. Total project cost was unavailable, but estimated here at US$8.3 million, based on a conservative US$1 million/MW. http://www.bronzeoak.com/CompanyViewer.aspx?regionId=2&companyId=4
