The project involves the modernization of the Brownsville-Gateway Land Port of Entry in Brownsville, Texas. It includes demolishing existing facilities, expanding key areas, constructing a new 48,000-square-foot administration building to replace the current 22,000-square-foot space, expanding the inspection area to ten primary inspection lanes and 24 secondary inspection spaces, upgrading the headhouse to a new 6,000-square-foot building, adding a new 9,000-square-foot outbound inspection area, and creating new parking lots for staff and visitors.
