BRP: REPLACEMENT OF 2 BRIDGES OVER E TREMONT AVE AND MTA YARD IN THE BRONX

This project will replace two Bronx River Parkway (BRP) bridges (one bridge over East Tremont Ave and a second bridge over E. 180th St./Morris Park Ave/MTA rail yard) and make safety and mobility improvements between East Tremont Ave and Bronx Park in Bronx Co. Additionally, a new bridge will be constructed to extend the interim lane of exiting traffic from S/B BRP to E. 177th St. The project also includes wider standard lanes and shoulders, improvements to vertical and horizontal geometry, queuing storage space for exiting traffic, new stormwater drainage facilities, improvements to the safety of NYCDPR's Bronx River Greenway (BRG) and site drainage at the Ranaqua facility, and a shared use path from Bronx River Ave to the BRG in Bronx Park.
