Description
Description | PT. Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional Tbk (“BTPN” or the “Bank”) is emerging as a regional leader in microfinance in Asia and has been a valued IFC client since 2009. It uses an innovative business model that combines access to finance with access to training to reach micro, small and women entrepreneurs with the objectives of improving their lives and businesses. The Project (“BTPN Loan II”) builds on this successful and growing relationship and intends, through loans in Indonesian Rupiah, to help BTPN to: (i) expand its micro-banking business to serve mass market and low-income customers; and (ii) strengthen its funding base in order to reduce asset and liability mismatch with a longer tenor financing package. |
