BTS Towers

The project consists in the construction and operation of a telecommunication infrastructure network throughout Latin America to be owned and operated by BTS Torres (“BTST” or “the Company”), through the Company’s subsidiaries in selected countries. BTST was established in early 2015 to provide mobile network and fixed wireless operators in Latin America with an economically viable and environmentally friendly outsourced alternative to in-house construction, maintenance and ownership of telecommunication tower sites. As such, the project represents a unique opportunity for IFC to partner with an independent wireless tower company to make front the lack of adequate infrastructure in the region and the increasing demand for data, and to foster a competitive environment in countries with recent release of their telecom spectrum.
