Description | Buchan Offshore Wind, a floating offshore wind project of close to 1 GW that is being developed by BayWa re, Elicio and BW Ideol in Scotland, has secured planning consent for its onshore infrastructure. The onshore infrastructure includes a landfall on the Aberdeenshire coast at Rattray Head and a 20-kilometre underground cable route to a new project substation near Peterhead Substation. The wind project, located around 75 kilometres north east of Fraserburgh, is set to use BW Ideol’s Damping Pool floating foundation, which will be manufactured in Scotland. |
