Description | The project is intended to support Jordan in implementing the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) it has agreed with the IMF. The aim of the EFF is to contribute to restoring macroeconomic balance and budget consolidation, and to contribute to sustainably increasing economic and employment growth while strengthening social security systems as part of a broader structural reform agenda. The promotional loan (political UFK with 100% federal coverage) is to be paid out on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) in one tranche as budget financing of up to EUR 86 million. The borrower is the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, represented by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation. |
