Build Canada Homes is a new federal agency launched by the Government of Canada to build and finance affordable housing at scale, aiming to increase the supply of housing in Canada and catalyze a more productive homebuilding industry. An early investment includes $1 billion to build transitional and supportive housing for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, collaborating with provincial, territorial, municipal, and Indigenous partners to pair investments with employment and health care supports.
