Building a Lifelong Learning Area

The Lifelong Learning Platform (LLLP) is the largest European network of networks raising awareness of the EU agenda in education&training facilitating dialogue&cooperation between NGOs, policy&decision-makers. Since its establishment, LLLP pursues an active dialogue with EU institutions;enables exchanges of best practices, experiences and expertise; disseminates information on key issues in the lifelong learning sector;promotes a more democratic, civic and social Europe;brings together different sectors, fields and actors in education and training and fosters cooperation between them. These organisational objectives are fully in line with the general EU interests contributing therefore directly to the EU policy objectives set out in the call for proposal and will continue to be achieved in 2024 through a number of activities, grouped in 4 main areas: Organisational Development &Management, Capacity Building, Peer-Learning and Training, Advocacy&Policy, Dissemination, Information and Awareness Raising. The network brings together over 40 European organisations, representing over 50000 educational institutions and associations covering formal, non-formal and informal learning: the members reach out to millions of beneficiaries. The impact of LLLP’s communication&dissemination activities is regularly assessed via membership surveys, communication strategies, access to and impact on policy processes, feedback sessions - involving diverse target groups (LLLP members and their networks, decision&policy-makers at all levels, ENGOs, Think-tanks, social partners, media, citizens). The results of LLLP action in 2024 are embodied in several outputs and deliverables: a national training on LLL policy-making, working groups and task force meetings, a feasibility study on LLL national strategies, EEA mid-term evaluation, stakeholders forum, online and in-person ad-hoc advocacy and awareness-raising tools, and Erasmus+ mid-term evaluation to name a few.
