Description
Description | The B.A.L.L. Project (Building Active Youth Leadership through Non-Formal Learning) strengthens youth leadership, civic engagement, and peer-to-peer learning and collaboration in and between Ghana, Kenya and Denmark. Led by GAME, in partnership with DUNK (Ghana), Midrift HURINET (Kenya), and Amani Kibera (Kenya), the project embeds non-formal learning through sports and life skills education and through youth-led community engagement, empowering young people to become active citizens and role models in their communities. Aligned with the objectives of the Erasmus+ “Capacity Building in the Field of Youth” call and the Youth Mobility for Africa initiative, the project fosters strategic collaboration between EU and Sub-Saharan African youth organisations, enhancing their ability to collectively engage and support young people with fewer opportunities. The project includes Youth Exchanges and Youth Participation Activities, ensuring that young people co-design, lead, and implement activities that promote civic engagement and constructive dialogue on youth priorities at the national and transnational levels. Using GAME’s Playmaker Methodology, the project offers a structured pathway for youth to develop critical leadership skills and advocacy capabilities, eventually increasing their socio-economic participation. Sustainability is embedded in the grassroot presence and youth-led approach of the partner organisations, ensuring long-term youth engagement beyond the project’s duration. |
