Description
Description | BRICK aims to develop policy experimentations and practice tools on how to enhance the skills of adults from vulnerable groups through functional language (Language for Work) training, namely by reskilling towards quality and safety and by upskilling towards digital and green transition. It does so by promoting sustainable collaborations between public authorities, training institutions and businesses around dynamic and sustainable reskilling and upskilling of adults, by training and mobilizing actors on how to leverage language learning for job-based skill development, by piloting new governance and training models in Italy, France and Iceland, and by developing and disseminating policy and practice tools for public authorities and private actors. BRICK will take stock of the most recent knowledge and tools on Language for Work and will adapt it to the three national contexts through co-creation with public and private actos. It will run three pilots in the construction (IT), cleaning (FR) and healthcare sectors (IS) structured along 6 Reskilling and Upskilling Labs for 300 workers, a Training4trainers program on Language for Work for 60 trainers, an awareness raising campaign for 15 businesses and individual coaching for 15 reskilled/upskilled workers. It will monitor and prototype the pilots, producing a Toolkit for trainers as well as a Policy brief and two Videos outlining the BRICK model. It will facilitate upscale of its model through Governance roundtables for 60 actors from different levels (vertical upscaling), Sector workshops for 60 people from the target sectors (intrasectoral upscaling) and an Intersectoral transfer event for 40 people. It will disseminate results through an ongoing campaign, Newsletters, a Webinar and a Final Conference. |
