The BRIDGE project: Building Resilience, Innovation, Development and Gender Equality, promotes the deployment of 23 European volunteers and brings together partners from 9 countries (Albania, Armenia, Estonia, France, Georgia, Nepal, Ghana, Kenya and Uganda) to work on a common objective: empowerment and skills development of vulnerable communities, with a focus on women groups and enhance digital skills. ADICE and MONDO, experienced collaborators, build upon prior successes, notably the EUAV and ESC projects. The partners identified women's issues as a common societal concern, leading to the BRIDGE project's focus on supporting 10 non-EU organizations and local communities. The project aligns with EU Youth Strategy principles of engagement, connection, and empowerment, emphasizing inclusivity by allocating 36% of mobilities to youth with fewer opportunities. ADICE and MONDO provide comprehensive support, including reinforced mentoring and set of innovative tools to ensure quality personal and professional development for volunteers, assuring their safety and relevance of proposed missions, which contribute to local communities. With complementary activities, the project promotes digital literacy workshops, emphasising environmental responsibility and initiatives, as well as skills development among all participants. Beyond deployments, the project aims to connect partners and volunteers by online conferences and in-the-field actions with benefit to local communities, with focus on women groups. By nurturing intercultural understanding and promoting European values, BRIDGE strengthens its impact and sustainability, contributing to innovative actions and societal development.
