Description | BRIDGE’s general objective is to build local actors’ awareness and capacities to reduce individual and collective vulnerability to radicalisation by mitigation polarisation. In this sense, the project specific objectives are: to strengthen local polarisation detection and management tools to assist local authorities in the development of actions to tackle tensions and social unrest trends; to promote community-based initiatives that imply cooperation between different public services and private actors; to bring together European local authorities and experts willing to address polarisation at the local level To do so, BRIDGE foresees 4 main activities: 1. Development of tools to assess and monitor polarisation at the local level 2. Design and implementation of 13 Local actions in 7 European countries, including: - Assessment of polarisation, using the methodological framework and tools previously developed. - Development of tailor made actions based on previous assessment of the phenomenon in order to mitigate it 3. Four project meetings in order to enable an accurate follow-up of local actions’ state of progress and the exchange of experiences. 4. Capitalisation Production of a final publication and webinar including: presentation of assessment and monitoring tools, key notions around the project’s topic,presentation of local actions and recommendations. As such, BRIDGE’s beneficiaries will state as follows: Direct beneficiaries (short and medium term): 13 local and regional authorities from 7 countries: as well as 2 organisations: Ufuq and Elcano Royal Institute. Indirect beneficiaries (long term): Local and regional authorities willing to assess polarisation and develop tailor-made strategies. Based on the above activities, BRIDGE will produce the following outputs: - State of the art of existing tools - Assessment and monitoring tool - 13 assessment reports - 13 local action reports - Webinars - Guidebook |
