Description

Description

The aim of the FC measure is to contribute to improving resilience in the current crisis by quickly improving the basic social and economic infrastructure. The measures focus on areas with a high refugee presence. The measure supports the Lebanese RACE program (Reaching all Children with Education). The FC grant of EUR 25.0 million will finance the school attendance of refugee children in schools with two-shift operation. Children and young people who have not attended school for a long time due to their flight will be prepared for reintegration into public schools with special needs classes. Other schools will be equipped for shift operation and inclusive teaching through renovation work. Accompanying activities to strengthen the capacities of the Ministry of Education are intended to improve the overall quality of teaching in public schools. UNICEF, which specializes in educational projects for Syrian refugees in Lebanon, will be commissioned to implement the project.
