Description

Description

"Youth ID empowers young people across Europe by equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and agency to actively shape their communities through participatory design, democratic engagement, and intersectional awareness. Addressing low youth participation in decision-making, the project focuses on marginalised and underrepresented youth, ensuring their inclusion in local development initiatives. Through its transnational approach, it establishes a network of youth organisations and youth groups, ensuring long-term collaboration, peer-learning, and policy impact. To achieve this, Youth ID follows a structured methodology: - Capacity-building for youth workers through the development of relevant material as well as training programmes, providing essential knowledge on participatory design, intersectionality, and advocacy. - Empowering youth capacities via local youth groups establishment, hands-on trainings and simulation activities on participatory, community mapping, intersectionality and inclusion, participatory budgeting, and advocacy and stakeholder engagement. - Youth-led transformative initiatives where participants collectively design and advocate for community projects, develop policy briefs, and engage in structured dialogues with policymakers at local and EU levels, culminating in a Youth Exchange in Poland, the EU Youth Advocacy Marathon in Brussels, and a transnational Online Fair. - Sustainability through dissemination, awareness and networking activities, as well as via a digital platform, offering long-term access to resources, peer exchange, and policy recommendations. The project aligns with Erasmus+ (KA3) priorities, reinforcing the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027 by promoting youth participation, democratic engagement, and inclusivity. It contributes directly to Youth Goals #3 (Inclusive Societies), #8 (Quality Learning), and #9 (Space & Participation for All), ensuring young people play an active role in shaping inclusive, youth-friendly communities."
