The project involves the development of a new airport terminal complex at Bukhara International Airport under a public-private partnership (PPP) framework, where a private partner will be responsible for designing, financing, constructing, and operating the passenger terminal and related facilities. The development includes a modern terminal building of around 48,500 square metres with the capacity to handle approximately 1,200 international and 400 domestic passengers per hour, along with supporting infrastructure such as cargo handling areas, catering services, parking facilities, and fuel storage. While the private partner will manage terminal operations, the government will retain control over core airside assets, making the project a key step in upgrading the airport’s capacity and service standards.
