Description

This project consists of development, construction, operation, and transfer of a 250 MW solar PV along with a 63 MW/126MWh of battery storage and a 220 kV substation, located in Bukhara region, Uzbekistan. Offtaker of the generated electricity is JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan (NEGU) under a 25-year power purchase agreement, including a 10-year BESS term. Total investment stands at $315.7 million, of which $63.6 million loan comes from ADB, along with a 20$ million loan, provided by Leading Asia's Private Infrastructure Fund (LEAP), IFC supports the project with up to $90 million A loan, a blended concessional finance loan of up to $20 million, an interest rate swap to cover up to US$197 million notional amount for the total long-term debt financing package, and $6 million risk management, and the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank (FMO) joins it with a financing of $30 million. The rest of the amount ($92.1 million) is provided by the sponsor of the project - Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC - Masdar. The implementing company is Nur Bukhara Solar PV Foreign Enterprise.
