Description | The large-scale international project ZAHYR has been launched at the Thracian University in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, to construct the first hydrogen valley in the country. The project involves building a complete integrated ecosystem for the production, storage, transport, and industrial use of clean hydrogen, aiming to provide an ecological alternative to the declining coal-fired energy sector in the region. The facilities are planned to produce up to 1,650 kilograms of clean hydrogen per day. The project is coordinated by the international consortium TERTIUS, with Thrace University leading production, industrial implementation, and specialized personnel training. |
