Bulloo Interlink Pipeline (BIL)

The Bulloo Interlink Pipeline is a proposed underground high-pressure natural gas transmission pipeline connecting APA's South West Queensland Pipeline to the Moomba to Sydney Pipeline in New South Wales. It aims to create a new direct gas transportation route from Bulloo Shire in southwest Queensland into New South Wales, reducing the north to south corridor by approximately 240 kilometres and expanding capacity across the east coast gas grid. The project is part of Stage 3 of APA's East Coast Gas Grid Expansion Plan and is expected to add about 30% additional north-to-south gas transport capacity to address projected gas shortfalls in southern markets starting in 2028.
