Description | The Emergency Response Project (CERP) is one of the instruments that can be used to channel the 10% of undisbursed and uncommitted funds in the country portfolio available through the Rapid Response Option (RRO). This IPF is prepared in advance and has no initial funding. It can be activated to use RRO funds to respond to natural disasters, public health emergencies, political or security crises and economic or social crises. The funds will be implemented on the basis of a positive list of eligible expenditures, including financing of essential imports (e.g. food, medicines), cash transfers to affected households, salaries in key sectors to improve emergency response and the replenishment of emergency or solidarity funds. This list will be developed and agreed with the government during the preparation phase. |
