Description | The development objective of the Governance for Basic Services and Resilience Program for Burkina Faso is to improve the delivery of selected basic services and the institutional performance of target local public entities. The government program named Program for Resilience, Local Governance and Services is structured around two complementary pillars: (i) improving efficiency of selected services delivered by local government (LGs) (birth registration, school canteens, learning, and teaching materials) and deconcentrated structures (DSs) (proximity justice), and (ii) strengthening institutional capacities and resilience of DSs and LGs. The program aligns with the model municipalities initiative and the one child in school, one balanced meal per day initiative. |
