BURN Manufacturing, headquartered in Nairobi, is one of Africa's largest manufacturers of clean cookstoves and a developer of carbon projects. The company produces biomass stoves, LPG cookers, and electric induction stoves, generating certified carbon credits to subsidise stove costs and scale adoption across Africa. BURN has sold over five million stoves, reaching more than 27 million people, and its projects have avoided tens of millions of tonnes of carbon emissions and saved millions of tonnes of wood. The company also invests in production capacity, research and development, and uses digital monitoring and mobile payment technologies to verify emissions reductions.
