The Burnaby Transit Centre Garage project included the addition of a new parking bay for buses to be steam washed. The parking bay ties into the existing structure and included demolition and the construction of a new sub-structure and superstructure, and roofing. The scope of work also involved seismic upgrades to the concrete masonry unit, civil works, and upgrades to the mechanical and electrical services and generator. While executing the work, Bird ensured there were minimal disruptions to the existing operations. This success was achieved through significant coordination and effective communication with stakeholders.
