Burns Lake - Burns Lake Arena HVAC System Repairs and Upgrades

The project will upgrade the Heating, ventilation and air conditioning in the Tom Forsyth Memorial Arena in Burns Lake. The improvements will increase the efficiency of the system increasing the quality of the air and comfort levels for users of the facility. Retrofits to the water system will also be completed. A portion of the upgrades will be made to the Lakeside Multiplex which consists of the curling rink and multi-use area of the complex. The project will increase the ability to control the climate within the arena. The works will increase the energy efficiency, reducing costs and improving the air quality and water systems. The project works include: - design and engineering; - installation of a digital direct control system; - upgrades and reconfiguring of boiler; - retrofits of domestic hot water; - reconfiguring of water system pump and software; - repair of air handling unit mixing valve; - upgrades to bleacher heating; - reconfiguring of storage tanks; - upgrading of glycol feed system; - upgrades to expansion tank; - rebuild pellet burners; and, - all related works.
